Early voting sites open

Early voting got started on Thursday in Granville and Warren counties.

Vance County held early voting for the Henderson City Council election, but the Nov. 5 ballots in Kittrell and Middleburg will not have any early voting.

In Granville County, voting can be done early at Thornton Library in Oxford and the Creedmoor City Hall. Voters from any municipality in Granville County can go to either location to cast votes early, according to Tonya Burnette, the elections director in the county.

The hours at each site are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and Monday through Friday of next week and the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 1. Early voting closes on Saturday, Nov. 2, with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and polls are open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Early votings began Thursday for voters in Warrenton and Norlina. Voters are using the John Graham annex building at 309 North Main Street.

Macon voters will cast ballots on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Polls are open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
