Police make arrest, levy firearms, drug charges
John Williams Jr. was arrested Saturday morning by Henderson police and will face charged connected to firearms and making threats.
Police were called to John Street for complaints of an armed person making threats, according to Lt. Alan Hedgepeth. At 759 John Street following further investigation, Williams was taken into custody.
Williams, 30, is charged with one count each of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of items for possible drug use.
Williams was jailed. Bond was set at $50,000 and a hearing is scheduled in Vance County District Court on Oct. 28.
Hedgepeth confirmed no one was injured from the incident or arrest response.
