Felon on city's most wanted list returns to prison
WILMINGTON — One of Henderson’s most wanted was sentenced Wednesday in federal district court.
Miguel Lashawn Burt, 21, was sentenced to 105 months in prison by U.S. District Judge James C. Fox for one count of felony possession of a firearm and ammunition.
He was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.
U.S. Attorney Thomas B. Murphy prosecuted the case.
Burt was arrested by Henderson Police Department officers in January 2011 on a charge of armed robbery after a man was robbed at gunpoint on Maple Street in Henderson.
He was convicted of felony common law robbery in Aug. 2011 and he served seven months in prison, according to court records.
Prior to that, Burt was convicted of felony breaking and entering and served about a month in prison, according to court records.
