One arrested on drug charges
Comayo Terry has been arrested by the Vance County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit.
Terry, 27, of 3368 Raleigh Road, Lot 5, Henderson, faces charges of trafficking opium or heroin; possessing cocaine with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver; and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for cocaine. He was arrested last Thursday.
Terry was placed under $35,000 secure bond pending an April 16 hearing Vance County District Court.
The vice and narcotics unit recovered eight grams of opiates in the form of prescription medication and two grams of crack cocaine from the residence, according to a statement by the sheriff’s office.
Approximately $600 and a Norinco 7.62 caliber SKS rifle were also recovered.
According to the sheriff’s office, charges are pending against James Edward Terry Jr., a person of interest as a result of the investigation.
