Henderson police, ATF arrest 11 connected to heroin and violent crime

Local and federal law enforcement arrested 11 people on in connection to heroin and violent crimes in Henderson, according to a release from the Henderson Police Department Monday.

Henderson police worked together with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in what is deemed an ongoing investigation. Federal indictments were delivered against individuals from Vance County, New Bern and Raleigh.

More arrests are pending.

According to Lt. Alan Hedgepeth of the Henderson police, all of the defendants remained in federal custody as of Monday with one exception. Patrick O’Neil Cooper, 39, of South Chavis Road in Kittrell, received a pre-trial release order.

O’Neil is facing a charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin.

Also facing a charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin are Almonmonick Delshron Bullock, 37, of 1513-B Mary Frances Place in Raleigh and Angela Rene Wilkerson, 37, of 6601 Round Tree Drive in Raleigh.

Among those arrested is Quatrail Pair, a 24-year-old who is already facing charges of shooting to death 16-year-old Deonte Judkins on Dec. 11.

Pair, listing a 215 N. Bullock St. address in Henderson, is facing charges for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin; possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin; possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime; felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition; aiding and abetting possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin; aiding and abetting possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime; felon in possession of a firearm; possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin.

Mercedes Christmas-McKinnie, 27, also of 215 N. Bullock St. in Henderson, is under indictment for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin; aiding and abetting possession with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin; aiding and abetting possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime; and distribution of a quantity of heroin.

Herbert Artis Smith, 54, of 3427 Belmont Blvd., New Bern, is under indictment on a count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.

Robert Earl Ross, 22, of 144 Shank Street, Henderson, is under indictment for one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin and three counts of distribution of a quantity of heroin.

Darnell Tyrece Hayes, 35, of 424 Mitchell Street, Henderson, is under indictment on a count of being a felon in possession of ammunition and a count of distribution of a quantity of heroin.

Shyzer Ormond, 21, of 738 E. Rockspring St. in Henderson, is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute a quantity of marijuana; possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense; and possession of firearm and ammunition by a felon.

Daniel Deel, 32, of 985 Vanco Mill Road in Henderson, is under indictment for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Darius Benson, 25, of 858 Eastway Drive in Henderson, is under indictment for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
