Henderson police are investigating a break-in and shooting that happened Friday afternoon.

Solomon Williams, a 26-year-old, was found with a gunshot wound at 801 Wakefield Avenue Extension. He was transported to a hospital for treatment. After release from medical care, police plan to serve warrants on Williams for charges related to incidents that happened Wednesday and Thursday.

The Friday incident, in which another suspect fled on foot to a wooded area and was not located, is under investigation.

Williams is facing charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony larceny of motor vehicle parts, possession of stolen goods, and obtaining property by false pretenses.

Police did not identify the shooter, other than to say it was a 73-year-old male.

Police also said prior breaking and entering incidents have happened at the location.

The investigation is ongoing and will be reviewed by the district attorney’s office prior to any more charges being filed.
