Henderson serial drug offender gets 8 years in prison
A Henderson serial drug offender was sentenced to more than eight years in prison earlier this month.
Quentin Dion Shearin was sentenced in Raleigh by U.S. District Judge W. Earl Britt on April 1 to 100 months and a supervised release of five years.
Shearin was indicted by a grand jury in 2010 on one count of distributing 50 grams or more of crack cocaine and 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, and one count possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine and 5 kilograms or more of cocaine.
The second charge was dismissed.
Shearin’s co-defendant, Orlando Emmanuel Lewis, was sentenced in 2011 to 80 months and five years supervised release.
Lewis was indicted on the same charges.
