Henderson police make bank robbery arrest

Henderson police caught a man believed to be a bank robber Friday afternoon.

According to Capt. Marcus Barrow, the interim police chief, Kenneth Lewis Albright was taken into custody not long after 3 p.m. Police had responded to Carter Bank & Trust in the 300 block of Dabney Drive Extension.

Albright, a 55-year-old with a 433 Corbitt Road address, was taken into custody a short distance from the bank. An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency had been taken but was recovered at the scene.

Albright was placed in the Vance County Jail with a $50,000 bond.
