Vance County deputies arrested two Henderson teenagers at the scene of a fight and charged one with assaulting a school administrator at Southern Vance High School Monday.

Qua-Wee Fletcher, 16, of 98 Summerfield Lane, and Qwmaine Knott, 16, of 57 Ross Ave., were both charged on affray misdemeanors for fighting. Knott is additionally charged with assaulting Southern Assistant Principal John Christopher Russick.

A Vance County court magistrate judge allowed Fletcher to sign a promise to appear in court, leaving on his own recognizance pending a Vance County District Court hearing scheduled for Feb. 25.

Knott, according to an incident report filed in the case, was jailed after failing to post a $500 bond pending court on Feb. 25.

There was no indication of injuries sustained by Russick.
