Vance-Granville Community College closed on Friday

Just before midnight, Vance-Granville Community College announced it would be closed on Friday.

The college had previously announced a two-hour delay.

Winter weather moved several area school systems to delays Thursday afternoon. Vance County students were scheduled to be out, but all other staff and programs were scheduled for a two-hour delay Friday morning.

Public schools in Granville and Warren counties were also scheduled for a two-hour delay. The Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School was going on a one-hour delay.
