BUTNER — Butner will be the site of an expansion by StayOnline, according to a statement from the company on Friday.

StayOnline has purchased the former Maysteel building off East Lyon Station. The company was improved for incentives by the Granville County commissioners on Monday.

StayOnline is a power and data connectivity parts supplier. It is expected to invest approximately $3.5 million and add 53 full-time employees by the end of 2018.

StayOnline has operated a 50,000-quare foot building in Butner for over three years. The new building purchase was finalized Sept. 25, according to a statement from the company.
