Prescription drugs taken in Monday robbery

Prescription narcotics were taken during a robbery Monday morning at Mast Family Drug Center, according to a Henderson police report.

The robbery was reported shortly at 7 on South Chestnut Street in Henderson. According to Lt. Alan Hedgepeth, several different bottles of narcotic drugs were taken after prying open the front door of the business.

Police did not confirm a number of robbers. One description was given: a black male, tall with a thin build.

An investigation is continuing.

Two $150 entry doors were destroyed and $300 damage was done to shelving fixtures inside the store, according to the report. Police did not give an estimate on the dollar value of narcotic drugs taken.
