Henderson police are investigating two armed robberies within three hours of each other bridging midnight Monday.

The first was reported at Brother’s Food Mart, 525 S. Williams St. in Henderson just after 10:30 p.m. Monday. An employee was forced at gunpoint to give an assailant about $450 cash.

Three hours later, a 28-year-old woman reported being forced at gunpoint to ride with or drive at least one assailant armed with a handgun who confronted her in the parking lot at Walmart, according to a report filed by Officer Michael Wilder of the Henderson police.

Lt. Christopher Ball confirmed both incidents are under investigation. There were no injuries.

Ball said police found the blue 2006 Honda Civic along with the victim at Best Bet, 1225 E. Andrews Ave, Henderson, at 1:37 a.m., shortly after she reported the incident.

Wilder’s incident report noted an undisclosed sum of cash had been taken from the victim.
