Tri-County boards of elections have received more applications entering the last week of filing for Soil and Water Conservation districts.

Vance County incumbents Tommy Farmer and Betty Hamm are running for unopposed for re-election.

In Warren County, Leonard Kilian, the incumbent, filed on June 24. There are two open seats in that district.

“We still need a second person, and we are hoping that comes in before it closes on the seventh,” said Robin Green, Warren County Board of Elections deputy director.

Two are seeking seats on Granville County’s board. Incumbents Jason Dixon and B.J. Loyd Jr. both filed this week.

The filing period ends at noon July 7.
