Police arrest two and seize marijuana, crack cocaine

The Henderson Police Department Special Operations Division seized 32 pounds of marijuana and nine grams of crack cocaine at 999 B Water St., Henderson, in a search that resulted in the arrest of two people.

Vincent Antwan Hicks, 25, of 999 B Water St., was arrested May 1 on charges of possessing crack cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver; possessing marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver; possessing drug paraphernalia; manufacturing crack cocaine; manufacturing marijuana; maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; possessing a stolen firearm; possessing hydrocodone; and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

He was released from custody after posting a $90,000 secured bond. Hicks is scheduled to appear in Vance County District Court on May 13.

Jakema Jones, 23, of 999 B Water St., was arrested May 1 on charges of possessing crack cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver; possessing marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver; possessing drug paraphernalia; manufacturing crack cocaine; manufacturing marijuana; maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances; possessing a stolen firearm; and possessing hydrocodone.

She was released from custody after posting a $75,000 secured bond.

Jones is also scheduled to appear in Vance County District Court on May 13.
