Police make arrests in weekend shootings, jail two
Henderson police made arrests in separate shooting incidents over the weekend.
According to Lt. Alan Hedgepeth, the first incident happened just before 11 Saturday night at 419 John Street.
Tyson Durham of the same address was charged with resisting officers. The 32-year-old did not immediately post a $2,000 bond and was jailed, with an Oct. 22 date in Vance County District Court.
No other charges are expected against Durham.
An earlier report indicated an officer was a victim at the scene. Marcus Barrow, the interim chief of police, confirmed Tuesday morning the officer was listed as a victim only due to Durham's resistance.
There were no injuries.
Sunday night, police responded to a call at 771 North Garnett Street for gunshots fired.
According to a police report filed on the incident, a handgun was seized by investigators. Two spent shell casings and three unfired bullets were also found at the scene.
There were no injuries reported.
Rahsoul Davis, of 912 Water St., was arrested and faces charges of discharging a firearm in the city limits, concealing a firearm after consuming alcohol and resisting officers.
His bond was set at $4,000. He has a Nov. 21 court date.
