Rashem McCoy has been arrested by Henderson police on criminal drug charges.

McCoy, 24, is facing charges of possession of marijuana for sale, maintaining a dwelling for drug trafficking and possession of items for possible drug use. His bond was set at $20,000 and a Vance County District Court date is set for Jan. 14.

Citizen complaints of drug sales in the Oxford Road area drew an investigative response. The Special Operations Division carried our a search warrant of McCoy’s 1508 Oxford Road residence, according to Lt. Alan Hedgepeth.

Seized during the search, Hedgepeth added, was 46.9 grams of marijuana and $2,230 cash.

A search warrant request document was filed with the Vance County Superior Court earlier this week, according to clerk officials. Documentation of the search warrant was not available.
