Saturday shooting injures bystanders

Two bystanders were each hit by gunshots at about 3 a.m. Saturday, according to Henderson police.

Lt. Christopher Ball said neither injured victim appears to have life-threatening injuries. Police began an investigation and are in search of a suspect.

Ball said Saturday afternoon the incident happened near the intersection of Arch and Chavasse streets. The victims were described as a 43-year-old woman and a 55-year-old woman.

Ball said one was struck by a bullet in the mouth, and the other by a bullet in the leg. Each was transported to a hospital.
