Wednesday morning shooting injures one
Henderson police are investigating a early Wednesday morning shooting that injured one.
Marquis Wilkerson, 22, was shot in the hip area at the apartment of Mitchelle Hargrove in the 100 block of South Pinkston Street. The incident happened at 1:18 a.m., according to a police report.
According to Lt. Christopher Ball, one or more suspects entered the residence of the 19-year-old Hargrove, confronted Wilkerson and shot him. His injuries, treated at a hospital, are not believed to be life-threatening.
According to the police report, the assailant or assailants entered without permission. Ball confirmed there was no forced entry.
The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
