Henderson police have yet to make an arrest from a shooting at a convenience store earlier this month.

Victor Gill was shot in the leg and taken to Maria Parham Medical Center in the June 8 incident at Haters Best Bet on East Andrew Avenue. His injury was not life-threatening.

According to police, he was treated and released.

Police have not determined what caused the incident.

The incident happened at the gas pumps, where a car and large truck were parked.

A search warrant was executed for the truck Gill had been driving, a black 2001 Ford F-150 Triton. Seized in the search were a firearm, a cellphone, an iPod, shell casings, and an unfired round among other items.

The truck is owned by a man from Wake Forest. Gill is listed with a George Floyd Road address in Henderson.

Detectives recorded on videotape while processing of the truck, including discovery of damage it sustained from being hit by at least one round.

The Criminal Investigation Division is leading the police probe.

Lt. Christopher Ball declined comment on information about the second vehicle or its occupancy.

Ball confirmed no one at the business was involved in the shooting.
