Tri-County included in severe weather risk today
The National Weather Service and the N.C. Department of Public Safety has issued a warning for the threat of severe weather Thursday, June 13, that includes the Tri-County.
The greatest risk of severe weather is between the mid-afternoon and the late-evening hours. Tornado activity and hail is possible in central and eastern North Carolina.
Temperatures are also expected to hit the mid- to upper-90s today, the hottest day of the year.
