A Henderson man is among four arrested by Granville County deputies on charges stemming from a reported armed robbery just outside Vance County in the Antioch Road area Monday.

Granville deputies jailed Michael Christopher Clark, 30, of Mindy Lane, on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of a stolen firearm. Clark’s bond was set at $200,000.

Travis Shaheed Sloan, 21, and Terrell Robertson, 22, both of Durham, and 22-year-old Nikee Lamar Black of Charlotte were also arrested. Each faces the same charges as Clark, and each also has a $200,000 bond.

Doug McFee, an investigator with the Granville County sheriff’s office, said deputies answered the call to a house on Pine Tree Hollow Road, near the Watkins community that straddles the Vance County line.

McFee said while closing in on the area, deputies received information on an orange Ford Explorer SUV was turning onto Interstate 85 South using the exit 206 onramp.

“The suspects were stopped just south of the 204 exit,” McFee said. “Deputies searched the vehicle and found a shotgun, a stolen handgun, drugs and cash.”

McFee said more charges are possible, pending further investigation into the contraband. The shotgun is being cross-checked on law enforcement databases to determine if stolen.

“The charges are all from the same incident,” he said. “A male victim was forced from one area of the property to another, resulting in the kidnapping charge.”

All four are scheduled to appear for a Granville County District Court hearing July 22.
