CHARLOTTE — Two teens have been arrested in the shooting and wounding of an off-duty Charlotte police officer during an apparent home invasion.

Kevin Watson McClary, 19, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree burglary and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.

A 17-year-old who turned himself into police later Sunday has been charged as an accessory and with possession of stolen goods.

"Additional charges are pending for both suspects," said Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokesman Robert Trietley.

Police say someone broke into the apartment of Officer Jon Durham around 6 a.m. Sunday.

Dunham was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. He was listed in stable condition Monday.

The officer's son was in the apartment at the time and was not hurt.

Dunham has been with the police department since 2008.
