Police investigate morning kidnapping, assault allegation

Police say an assailant kidnapped a Henderson woman from a downtown location Thursday and had her drive to another location where she reported being assaulted.
The Henderson Police Department is investigating the incident as a kidnapping. Lt. Christopher Ball confirmed the incident occurred at about 6 a.m. as the 35-year-old woman was getting out of her vehicle.
Ball and police urge residents to check their surroundings when they are about to exit a vehicle and park in well-lit areas.
