Henderson police return runaway teen
Lt. Christopher Ball of the Henderson Police Department confirmed Thursday the department did help locate a runaway juvenile this week.
Quiana Hodges, a 14-year-old, was found unharmed and returned to a guardian in Greenville on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the Greenville Police Department in Pitt County.
Hodges reportedly ran away from a home in Winterville, also in Pitt County, after an argument on April 10 about 10:45 p.m. She had moved there recently from Henderson to live with her paternal aunt following the death of her mother, according to a statement from the Greenville police.
Police were afraid the middle school student might try and go as far away as New York.
