Arrest takes 44 pounds of marijuana out of Henderson
Henderson police confiscated 44 pounds of marijuana Friday and sent a 58-year-old to jail.
John Richard Bagley, 58, of 110 Thomas Road, Henderson was arrested and placed in the Vance County Jail on a $70,000 secured bond, according to Lt. Alan Hedgepeth. The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is $45,000.
The special operations division of the department executed the search warrant with help from the State Bureau of Investigation.
Bagley was charged with one count of trafficking marijuana; possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine; possession of drug paraphernalia; and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling and place to keep and sell a controlled substance.
A continued investigation into narcotic sales and violent crime in the Henderson and Vance County area led to the arrest. Henderson police are also working the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in its investigation.
