Royal Palace Theatre: Pair of concerts slated for this weekend in Roanoke Rapids
The 2013 season opens for The Royal Palace Theatre this weekend with two concerts. Blues artist Theodis Ealey will step on stage Saturday while southern gospel super group, The Isaacs, will perform on Sunday.
At 8 p.m., Ealey, a blues singer and guitarist from Natchez, Miss., will perform. He is know for scoring a cross-over hit with “Stand Up In It” and for his acting role in the Tyler Perry movie, “Daddy’s Little Girls,” back in 2007.
Soul and R&B artists Lacee and Lebrado will also be on hand. Tickets for this performance range from $15 to $20.
On Sunday, at 6 p.m., GMA Dove-winning group, The Isaacs, will kick off the venue’s Gospel series. The four members of this family group frequently perform at the Grand Ole Opry.
Single tickets are available for only $15. However, combo series ticket may be purchased for only $5: these will include performances by The McKameys on April 5 and Jason Crabb on May 18. Anyone attending these performances will have access to overnight packages and free shuttle service are available at the Hilton Garden Inn located next door to the theatre.
