The Old Bute Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently held its March meeting in the home of Sara Davis, the chapter regent.

Mary Anne Davis served as co-hostess for the luncheon.

The topic of the meeting was local education. Lynnell Flowe presented the program. Flowe’s report focused on the pre-1881 period in Granville County.

Davis expressed the chapter’s appreciation to members who hosted the DAR District Six meeting and the lunch for the DAR Good Citizens Conference. She also thanked West End Baptist Church members for providing use of the church fellowship hall for the event.

Virginia Grissom assisted Davis with the opening ritual.
