The award-winning play, “Mama’s Girls,” is coming to Henderson for one night only.

Written by Warren County native Garrett Davis, it will be presented at E.M. Rollins Elementary School in Henderson on May 4, at 7 p.m.

The plot centers around five sisters living in different cities who must decide what they are going to handle the care of their now aging mother.

At the 2012 D.C. Black Theater Festival, the play won the 2012 Urban Theater Award.

CEO and founder of Gdavis Productions and the Forget Me Not Project, Davis’ “2012 Project-Prepare to Care Tour”, which featured the play, earned him the Pioneer Award at the Inaugural Playwrights Ball in Charlotte.
