Personal time-outs for children and adults
A personal time-out for adults and children is one of the most effective ways to reduce stress. Exercise, eat well, avoid caffeine, alcohol or drugs, take walks or jog, read, listen to music, go shopping, watch a movie or get a massage. If you have an overloaded schedule, think about trimming it so that you have time for spontaneous fun, silly times and doing nothing. And, be sure yours kids are not overextended with too many lessons or other structured activities.
