College to host networking seminar for small businesses
The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center will hold a free seminar entitled “Networking Tips That Can Grow Your Small Business” from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 28 at the college’s main campus in Vance County.
During the seminar, Anita Hicks will speak on why networking is important for small businesses, how to strategically network and grow a businesses, where to effectively network and how to develop a winning elevator pitch.
Hicks is a Vance County native and the president of AHU Business Training Solutions. She is a motivational speaker and entrepreneur coach.
