Medication aide course on offer

Vance-Granville Community College is holding a medication aide course Aug. 11-19 at its Warren County Campus.

Classes will be held each evening from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Michelle Bugg will serve as instructor.

Graduates from the course will be prepared to administer medications in a skilled nursing setting and to sit for the state examination.

Those who complete the course and the exam are qualified to be listed on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.

To register for the course, a student must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and must be listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry as a CNA I in good standing.

The registration fee for the course is $74, in addition to the cost of the textbook.
