The Daisy Garden Club recently held its September meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Holt.

Patricia Holt served as hostess. “Knock Out” red rose and zinnia arrangements from her garden were on display throughout the home.

Delores Green led the group devotion. The club’s song was sung, followed by a scripture reading and prayer.

Following the devotion, club members toured Holt’s flower and vegetable garden. Flowers seen included lantana, rose of Sharon, baby ferns, red and pink geraniums, ceopis, four o’clocks, “Knock Out” roses, begonias, zinnias, sedum, cana lilies and a red-tip tree. Vegetables included peppers, tomatoes and okra.

After the tour, Barbara Carroll, president, conducted the business session. Correspondences and committee reports were given. Carroll gave a report of a recent state convention.

Naomi Dixon blessed the food at the meeting.

Special guest attending were Annie Sanders and Magnolia Whitfield.
