Perry Memorial Library has announced dates for three events in August, including the unveiling of family portraits for the namesake.

The portraits from the Perry family will be unveiled on Monday night, Aug. 19, at 6:30 p.m. The portraits include Col. Henry Perry, Jane Hall Perry and H. Leslie Perry. All were found and have been professionally restored.

On Friday, Aug. 2, the finale to the summer reading program will take place at 3 p.m. The library welcomes the public for a celebration that is expected to include the performing act Flow Circus.

On Friday, Aug. 9, the library hosts a Makerspace Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. A makerspace is a creative workspace where people can come together to share equipment, resources, and knowledge. The library has developed a makerspace area that will focus on various arts and crafts, including sewing, jewelry making, painting, digital photography and other artistic endeavors.
