Biology boot camp offered at college
To prepare for two courses in the associate degree nursing program, students at Vance-Granville Community College can take a two-day “boot camp” Aug. 14-15.
The event, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each with a one-hour lunch break, will prepare students for the college’s Anatomy & Physiology course, also referred to as A&P. The camp will be held in Room 5212 on the main campus in Vance County and be led by biology instructor Button Brady.
The camp will emphasize taking notes, reading comprehension and study skills for labs and tests. Cost of the camp is $90 and preregistration is required. More information and registering can be done by calling Theresa Somerville at (252) 738-3427, or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anatomy & Physiology I and II, also known as BIO 168 and BIO 169, and Basic Anatomy & Physiology, also known as BIO 163, are approved for transfer to four-year universities with the UNC System and with certain private institutions of higher education.
