Two-day Summer Institute scheduled in Granville County

Educators outside of Granville County have been invited to the inaugural Summer Institute for Educators on Aug. 13-14.

Full-day workshops with limited seating will be available. Presentations will be made on Instructional Technology in the Classroom, Management in One-to-One Environments, Teaching and Learning Online and Using Technology Resources in Support of Instruction, Common Core and Essential Standards.

Teachers, administrators and office personnel have been targeted with the instruction.

Online registration is available at Lunch is catered each day on site and can also be registered for online.

Richard Byrne is the scheduled keynote speaker. Byrne writes a blog, Free Technology for Teachers, with a subscriber base of more than 50,000. He is also a writer for several publications.

Byrne’s message will be “Ten Common Challenges Facing Educators and Tools to Address Them.” He’ll also make five short presentations during the 50-minute sessions of the two-day workshop.
