New York Theatre Ballet to perform Sunday at Vance-Granville

The Henderson Community Concert Association will present a performance by the New York Theatre Ballet at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Vance-Granville Community College Civic Center.

The program will include scenes from various classic works, including Cinderella, composed Prokofiev, and Sleeping Beauty, composed by Tchaikovsky.

Since being founded in 1978 by Diana Byer, the New York Theatre Ballet has become one of the most widely seen chamber ballet companies in the U.S. The company regularly performs contemporary and classic chamber ballet pieces for all ages.

Admission to Sunday’s performance is by season ticket only.

Season tickets for the HCCA 2014-2015 concert series will be on sale at the event. The upcoming five-concert series will feature performances by Live from Nashville, Fernando Varela, The New Shanghai Circus, Karrnnel and Simply Sinatra.
