Vance-Granville Community College students who are preparing for allied health careers now have one more option to help them pay for their education.

The Triangle North Healthcare Foundation recently created a new scholarship at the school through contributions to the college’s endowment fund.

The scholarship, known as the Triangle North Healthcare Foundation Academic Achievement Award, will be presented to full-time students at the college who meet certain academic requirements, with preference being given to students enrolled in health-related programs.

The first of the Triangle North scholarships was recently presented at the college’s annual scholarship awards ceremony.

Triangle North was established in 2011 as the successor to the Maria Parham Healthcare Foundation. It a regional grant-making organization that focuses on Vance, Granville, Warren and Franklin counties.
