Children’s Museum & Science Center: New hours begin, new exhibit opens today

Beginning today, the Children’s Museum & Science Center will remain open on Saturdays until 9 p.m.

The updated hours of operation for the facility as at follows:

• Tuesday-Friday — 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

• Saturdays — 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

• Sundays — 1-5 p.m.

• Mondays — closed

New exhibit: PLAY!

Starting today, a new exhibit will be available to patrons. Play! gives visitors the opportunity to “play” with larger-than-life, all-body interactive versions of their favorite clubhouse games, such as bowling, billiards, dice, backgammon, foosball and dominoes.

Visitors will become immersed (literally) in the experience, turning into life-sized foosball players, piling up larger-than-life dominoes, stepping in concert with others on a giant backgammon board, or “transforming” into a giant bowling ball. Attendees can collaborate with each other. Musical accompaniment and art selections, designed specifically for each area, will be incorporated to enhance the experiences.
