Cherry Hill to hold free Christmas concert

Dec. 10, 2013 @ 09:59 AM

A Christmas celebration will be held at the Cherry Hill Plantation in Warrren County on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The celebration will include a performance by The Oakwood Waits, a 17-member a cappella group that has been singing Christmas music since 1984. The group sang on live television during the centennial celebration at the Governor’s Mansion in Raleigh and has twice been invited to sing at the White House.

Though the full group will not appear due to space limitations, the performance will feature a double quartet in Antebellum dress.

Refreshments will follow the performance.

The celebration is free and open to the public.

Cherry Hill Plantation, built in 1858, is located in the Inez community of Warren County.
