College offers night course on woodworking
Vance-Granville Community College is offering a 10-week woodworking course from Feb. 6 to April 17 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.
The class will meet each Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., with no meeting on March 27 due to the college’s spring break.
The course will cover the safe use of various shop tools. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects of their own choosing. No prior woodworking experience is required.
Keith Tunstall will serve as the course instructor. Tunstall heads the carpentry program at the college.
The cost of the course is $110, excluding the cost of construction materials.
Due to limited space, registration in advance is required.
The deadline to register is Jan. 28.
