Energy savings seminar on tap for May 7
The Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the small business center at Vance-Granville Community College, will present a seminar on Duke Energy’s Small Business Energy Saver Program from noon to 1 p.m. May 7 at the chamber’s office on Garnett Street in Henderson.
Nate Lewis, the energy saver program manager, will present an overview of the program.
Through the program, eligible businesses will receive up-front payment from Duke Energy for up to 80 percent of materials and installation costs on certain lighting and refrigeration improvements and up to 10 percent on eligible HVAC upgrades.
The seminar is $10 per person, including lunch.
