Community college offers wire-wrapped jewelry class
Students interested in personally crafting handmade jewelry should consider enrolling in the “Wire-Wrapped Jewelry” class offered by Vance-Granville Community College.
The two-hour class is scheduled to take place Saturday, from 10 a.m.-noon, on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.
Alison Beal, instructor, will teach participants the process for creating four different, wire-wrapped items: three pairs of earrings and a briolette necklace. In addition to new skills, students will take home with them four pieces of jewelry ready to wear.
The course will cost $25 per person, which includes all fees and materials.
Participants are required to register in advance by contacting Theresa Somerville at (252) 738-3427 or SomervilleT@vgcc.edu. Somerville can also provide more information about the course.
