College offers one-day leadership class

Vance-Granville Community College, in partnership with the N.C. Cooperative Extension, will offer a one-day leadership class on Oct. 8.

The class will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break, at the college’s Franklin County campus, located on N.C. 56 just outside of Louisburg.

Rachel Monteverdi, family and consumer sciences agent for the Franklin County Cooperative Extension, will serve as instructor. She will discuss concepts related to leadership, including Stephen Covey’s “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.”

The cost of the class is $49.

Space is limited. The deadline to register is Oct. 1.
