Small business seminars
The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center will soon offer two free business seminars.
The first, “Business Plan Basics,” is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29, from 2-4 p.m., on the south campus in Granville County. The program, given by instructor Melissa Rivera-Terrell of the Women’s Business Center, will focus on advantages and key elements of developing a business plan.
The second, “Ten Steps to Starting a Business,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 6-9 p.m., at the main campus in Vance County. After attending, participants should be able to make a feasibility assessment and understand the minimum start-up requirements, including licensing and financial and tax requirements. Jess McLamb of the Roper Group will serve as the instructor.
Both seminars will take place in the campus “V-Net” classroom, which will allow viewing from the “V-Net” classroom on any of the VGCC campuses.
For more information and to reserve a seat in either free seminar, call Tanya Weary at (252) 738-3240 or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
