Members of the Office Administration Club at Vance-Granville Community College collected nonperishable food items in April and May to aid local children in need.

The items were donated by college students, faculty and staff, as well as Moss Foods in Louisburg. Collection sites were located at the college’s campuses in Vance, Granville and Franklin counties.

The donations were delivered to Area Christians Together in Service in Henderson, Louisburg Elementary School and Butner-Stem Elementary School.

Club members Danielle Yancey, Timeka Harrison and Ethel Sims coordinated the project.

The Office Administration Club represents students at the college who have a strong interest in pursuing a career as an administrative professional. Advisors of the club are Tammy Ball, Sharon O’Geary and Christal Swilley. Jacqueline Davis, a medical office administration student, served as club president this year.
