Chamber now accepting award nominations
The Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its Citizen of the Year, Helping Hands and Business of the Year awards.
Nominees for the Citizen of the Year award should have had a significant impact in the community through volunteer efforts and charitable activities, shown leadership and performance in many areas of community service over an extended period of time and have generally benefited the community long-term.
Nominees for Business of the Year should have been actively involved in chamber events, reflected the goals of the chamber, made use of the chamber’s programs and resources, shown entrepreneurial qualities and exhibited potential growth and expansion while promoting itself in a professional manner.
Nominees for the Helping Hands Award may be an individual, business or organization that has given outstanding support to the community through time and dedication to one or more community projects.
The awards will be given out at the chamber’s annual banquet and meeting. A date and location for the meeting will be announced.

The deadline to submit nominations is Dec. 13.
