Tips from the Vance County Parenting Task Force
When children plead to stay up late, parents should stick to bedtime rules and routines.
This helps children feel more secure and loved.
Once parents settle their children in bed, they can have time to themselves. Parents need time without the demands of a child’s attention, for peace and quiet, for having adult conversation, for doing household chores and for working or studying.
When parents make time for their own needs, they’re better able to care for their children.
