Coley Springs to celebrate 13 years of recovery ministry
The Recovery Ministry of Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church, 224 Parktown Road, Warrenton, will conduct a Worship Celebration Service on Sunday, at 4 p.m., in celebration of its 13-year commitment toward ministry against substance abuse. The church uses the Celebrate Recovery 12-step curriculum (which employs methods developed from Alcoholic and Narcotic Anonymous models delivered through a Christ-centered approach).
The Rev. Annette Harris of Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Warren County will deliver the message. A native of Warren County, she was licensed to preach the Gospel in August of 2004 and was ordained in November of 2011 by her pastor, the Rev. Anthony Q. Alston. She is a 1981 graduate of Vance Senior High School and is currently enrolled in the human services associate degree program at Vance-Granville Community College. She works as a paraprofessional with Restoring Bodies & Minds LLC.
The public is cordially invited to attend. Music will be performed by the Morning Star United Holy Church Mass Choir of Henderson. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Daphene Herring or Vickie Jones, Coley Springs Recovery Ministry coordinators, at (252) 257-4041.
