Hartis to give presentation on hydrilla management
Brett Hartis will speak on hydrilla control at Wednesday's meeting of the Lake Gaston Association.
Hartis is the aquatics extension associate for the crop science department at N.C. State University.
He will present on how hydrilla has previously been managed on Lake Gaston, this year’s treatments, how treatments are funded and how treatment sites have and will be selected in the future.
A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Lake Gaston Baptist Church, located on N.C. 903 across from the Subway one mile north of Eaton Ferry Bridge.
Additionally, time will be allotted for those interested to present lake-related issues or concerns to the LGA board.
